  7. READ is a "Shareware Program" and is provided at no charge to the user for
  8. evaluation. Feel free to share it with your friends or colleagues, but please
  9. do not give it away altered or without its associated files. The essence of
  10. "user-supported" software is to provide personal computer users with quality
  11. software at reasonable prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers
  12. to continue to develop new products. If you find the program useful, and find
  13. that you are continuing to use READ after a reasonable trial period, you must
  14. make a registration payment to the author. The registration fee will license
  15. ONE COPY for use on any ONE COMPUTER at any ONE TIME.

  21. ization will be automatically granted to distributors recognized by the
  22. Association of Shareware Professionals (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines
  23. for shareware distributors, and such distributors may begin offering READ
  24. immediately (However Robert Lindsay Wells must be advised so that the
  25. distributor can be kept up-to-date with the latest version of READ).

  41. When a new release of READ is issued, the files are archived for BBS and FTP
  42. distribution using the PKZIP format, and with archive filenames of the form
  43. READ29.ZIP (where the 29 represents the current version of READ). The
  44. Compuserve filename is READ.ZIP. The following files are included in each
  45. release of the program:

  47.             READ.EXE   The READ text editing program.
  48.             READ.DOC   ASCII description of the READ program.
  49.             READ.TXT   This ASCII file describing registration.
  50.             READ.ORD   Ready to print ASCII registration form.

  53. exchange (Keyword SOFTWARE, Search the Libraries for WELLS READ), and on
  54. Compuserve (GO CIS:PCFF and search for the File Name READ.ZIP). You can
  55. also find recent releases at the following FTP site: ftp.secret.com in the
  56. Ad-ftp directory.
